UMCA To Hold Next CE Course in April

The next UMCA Continuing Education Course will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 9:00am-1:00pm at the Utah Career Center. Although the UMCA had originally planned to hold a Foreman Training Seminar on March 24 & 25, the class has been postponed so that a new advanced supervisory education course can be developed. With that in mind, the UMCA is looking forward to the April 20th Technology Seminar presented by Nathan Wood with Spectrum AEC.

Nathan Wood

Nathan will take attendees through a three-hour training on practical jobsite opportunities for mechanical contractors with emphasis on manpower production tracking and digital time-sheets/payroll; jobsite photo and video capture, reporting and cloud sharing; tool and material management and location tracking; and safety and PPE.  Nathan will then take these concepts and tie them into a single workflow using the Bluebeam software at which point Nick Decker from Bluebeam will conduct a one-hour lunch-n-learn practical application demonstration of Bluebeam, using this workflow.  This seminar promises to be a very beneficial and informative course for those looking to become familiar with and better trained on some of the best technology tools available to mechanical contractors.  The seminar is open only to UMCA members and registration will be $125/person. As a reminder all Contractor Members Companies currently have a $1000 UMCA Education Scholarship to use exclusively toward UMCA seminar registration fees.
