UMCA Lean Construction Course To Be Offered In May

Save the date and plan to attend the May 17th Education Seminar that will explore the latest in Lean Construction. The UMCA will feature Dennis Sowards at the Utah Career Center on Thursday, May 17 from 7AM-4:00PM.

Lean Construction has been both hailed as the next big thing and dismissed as a fad. However Dennis Sowards will clear the air and set the record straight on why Lean Construction should be applied to your everyday operations. He will use a straightforward approach with real-life examples to show attendees how subcontractors can apply Lean. This workshop will explore why Contractors should be using Lean, the Principles of Lean, and the Tools for Lean. Dennis will also show practical uses for Lean in service and becoming a leader in Lean Implementation.

Dennis Sowards is the President of Quality Support Services, Inc. and has authored over 50 articles and publications on Lean Construction. Dennis is an industry consultant with over 20 years of improving quality and applying Lean in the Construction Industry and over 35 years working with managers to improve quality and productivity performance. He is an expert in 5S and Lean Production, Total Quality Management, Visions/Strategy Facilitation, Process Improvement and Root Cause Analysis, Customer and Employee Loyalty Measurement, and Executive Scorecard. Dennis has over 30 years of senior level experience with a record of achievement in Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, and Management Consulting. Dennis is a proven industry leader and consistently works to update and improve the overall quality of the industry.
