Registration For October Foreman Training Seminar Filling Up Quickly

Registration for the UMCA Foreman Training course, “Six Habits of the Highly Effective Foreman” is filling up quickly.  Attendees can choose to attend on either October 19 or 20 from 7:00 AM-3:30 PM at the Utah Career Center. The Six Habits of the Highly Effective Foreman is a custom-tailored, advanced Foreman Training course that has been designed to complement Foreman Training previously taught in Utah. During this course attendees will be introduced to the actions they can take to influence the changes that must be made in our industry if we are to survive and thrive. Each individual’s sphere of influence is discussed and how each foreman can personally influence the local union, those that work for him, and himself to ensure that dramatic improvements are made. This course uses a model similar to the Covey “Seven Habits”

•Be proactive

•Begin with the end in mind

•Put things first

•Think win/win

•Seek first to understand, then to be understood

•Synergize

•Sharpen the saw.

This exciting new seminar will be limited to 25 participants each day. Registration is now open and will close on Monday, October 16 or when class space is no longer available. This course is worth 8 professional continuing credit hours, will be $125 per attendee and includes breakfast and lunch. Contractors may use what remains of their contractor education stipend towards the Foreman Training Class. If you have any questions please contact Leanna at leanna@umca.com or (801)364-7768.
