Construction Law Seminar Registration Open

The 2017 Spring Education Series will kick off on Thursday, February 23rd with a free legal seminar presented by John L. Young of Young and Hoffman, LLC. This seminar will review the current requirements that subcontractors must satisfy in order to maintain a construction lien and/or bond claim in Utah. This will include, Preliminary Notice, Notice of Lien and Prosecuting Bonds, and Lien Foreclosure Actions. Attendees will also discuss alternative negotiating strategies concerning adverse construction contract terms. This will include, the Pay-If-Paid Clause, No Damages for Delay, Change Order Requirements, Notice of Claims and Dispute Resolutions Clause, Lien Waiver Terms and other topics. The class will be held at the Utah Career Center from 12:00pm-3:00pm. The class is free for members and lunch will be served.
