UMCA 2018 Trap Shoot Has Record Turnout

UMCA members gathered for the 2018 Annual Trap Shoot on Thursday, September 27. It was another successful year with over 200 registered shooters taking to the range and showing their skills. 

Attendees were served a steak dinner and several attendees were awarded door prizes provided by UMCA member companies. Teams battled it out late into the evening with the top teams taking home cash prizes, trophies, DEWALT swag, and bragging rights.

In first place with a score of 232 was a UA Local 140 team of Mike Hilton, Scott Hernie, Mike Tisdale, Harley Tisdale, and Ryan Sagendorf.

In second place with a score of 230 was a CCI Mechanical team of Patrick Lynch, Ranae Vandercook, Steve Campbell, Dustin Hardy, and Chad Reuther.

Finally, in third place with a score of 224 a Great Western Supply team of Chad Kelley, Jason Hilton, Brad Hamblin, Taylor Proctor, and Jay Jenkins. 

In addition to team winners, the high women’s and men’s shooters were recognized. CCI Mechanical’s Ranae Vandercook shot a 42 earning her the best women’s score and Chance Pope of Moss Industrial shot a perfect, earning him the top men’s score.

Following the team events attendees participated in an individual competition with the best shooters, Dustin Peck and Scott Helms, taking home brand new 12-Gauge Stoeger Shotguns. Scott Helms was also the winner of the Ruger American Rifle, donated by Industrial Piping Products, Inc. The evening concluded with the traditional Annie Oakley shoot.
